Training FAQs

What are the training hours?

Training runs from 9AM–4PM daily, with a lunch break in between. We don’t believe in dragging things out—we keep it focused, hands-on, and intentional. You’ll be learning the entire time (no time-wasting fluff here).

Is this training 1:1 or in a group?

Our classes are usually 1:1, however, we also offer small group style (4–6 students max) so you get personalized guidance, but also benefit from observing others and asking questions in real time. It’s the best of both worlds.

Do I need any experience to enroll?

The 4-day fundamental course is designed for total beginners or beauty pros starting fresh. We walk you through every single step—technique, setup, skin theory, and client care. You just need good energy, focus, and a willingness to learn. The 2-Day Refresher Course is for those that have experience, so you will need to show proof of training previously.

Will I work on a live model?

We hope so! We highly encourafe students to work on a live model (with instructor supervision) to complete training. Don’t stress—we’ll help guide you through it and even assist with model sourcing if needed.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself and your focus. Your kit, workbook, tools, and everything else are provided. We recommend wearing comfy clothes (no all-white outfits—you’ll be working with pigment), and bringing a notebook if you like to take extra notes.

What happens after training?

You’ll get your certificate, access to our private student community, and ongoing support from us. We also offer advanced shadowing, coaching, and product discounts for alumni. Once you train with us, you’re part of the crew.

How do I enroll?

We require a $500-$1000 non-refundable retainer fee for all in-person trainings. This is due in order to secure your spot. Once your retainer is paid, you'll receive your welcome email and contract via email within a few days outline all the little deets.

Do I need a tattoo license or anything else?

Please check your state, county, and city laws to see who governs cosmetic and paramedical tattooing. We offer education, but actual licenses will be issued by your local governing agency (if applicable).

What's included in the kit?

Not every kit includes the following, but you'll have some variation of it: Tattoo machine, Hand tool, Latex sheets for practicing, 4 Pigments , Shaping wax pencil for drawing, 1 Box of 1RL needles, 1 box of 3RL needles, Pack of sticky rulers, 10 Pigment rings, Caliper, + Microapplicators

Don’t Wait—Spots Fill Fast

We keep classes intimate on purpose. That means fewer students, more personal guidance, and better results.
